Highlights: You don’t get to host the World Kiteboarding Championships for multiple years by chance. Akyaka definitely delivers for wind, and if you’re a beginner on a budget, this kitespot if for you. If the sun’s out, which is just about every day, you can expect the wind to start pumping by noon. There’s not a ton of variety in riding, but at 3km in length there’s a ton of room. The village of Akyaka has a good amount of infrastructure and local cuisine. Those seeking a little more nightlife can head into nearby Marmaris or Dalyan, both roughly a 30min drive away.
Other Activities: Check out the unique Turkish architecture, Cleopatra Island, the Azmak River, and finish the day of with a Kebab!
Closest International Airports: Dalaman (DLM), Bodrum (BJV)
